all the seams just tore.
Now they too are in a neat pile,
lying on the floor.
Today all my nails broke,
each and every one.
They cracked and peeled and flaked and chipped,
but now I think they're done.
Today I went blind in one eye,
and deaf in my left ear.
But as far as I can tell,
the vision in my right eye is still pretty clear.
Today after lunch all my teeth fell out,
they dropped onto my plate.
As upset as I was,
I thanked god I had already ate.
